Virtual Yoga for Scleroderma

Teressa is a Scleroderma warrior, a certified yoga instructor (200hr) with 90hr specialization in Yoga for Scleroderma and Arthritis.

Join her for a guided Gentle stretch and feel-good (great for beginners), Chair or Gentle flow. Her classes start with a guided breathing exercise. Then she will move gently from the top of your head to the bottom of your toes and finish with savasana.

These classes are for everyone! Teressa will give you different options throughout the class to help you find your own movement.

Daily stretching will help strengthen our muscles, help with range of motion to prevent, or slow down the loss of motion in our joints. Stretching our bodies will leave you feeling awake and centered for the day ahead.

To register, please email Teressa at pattess72@hotmail.ca These classes go for 5 weeks and then 2 weeks off.

After registering, a waiver will be sent to you for insurance purposes and a zoom link.

Testimonials

“I stay active with cycling, walking, and exercise, but I’ve always found traditional yoga too hard on my hands, elbows, and shoulders. Thanks to Teressa’s chair yoga, I can now stretch and maintain movement in those areas without discomfort.
At first, I was a bit unsure about doing it over Zoom, but it turned out to be fantastic! Teressa’s instructions are clear, and she’s always ready to help me modify exercises when needed. I also love the hour of peace and relaxation that comes with yoga—it’s my “me time.”
Thank you, Teressa, for your dedication to our community!

“I have participated in several classes taught by Teressa and I love them! Teressa is a very good teacher as she understands possible limitations due to Scleroderma. She is always able to provide modifications to yoga positions to accommodate health issues. My body feels great after attending her class and I would highly recommend them!
Thank you Teressa for teaching these classes.
– Janet”

“I began practicing yoga with Teressa in October 2024, shortly after being diagnosed with Scleroderma. While I had done yoga over the years, I had to stop due to the intense pain in my wrists during regular classes.
Since joining Teressa’s classes, I’ve been able to experience the benefits of yoga once again. Her thoughtful and adaptive approach has not only made yoga accessible for me but has also brought back a sense of joy and healing in my practice.

Teressa’s guidance has been incredibly supportive—physically, mentally, and emotionally. I highly recommend her classes to anyone looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable teacher who truly understands how to meet you where you are.
– Jen”
